Our puppy
classes at Ballina Vet Hospital are run by Sarah
Rutten from Paw Power Dog Training. Sarah
is a local dog trainer who has been training
dogs professionally for a number of years.
She holds a Certificate IV in Dog Behavioural
Training and is a member of APDT (Association of
Pet Dog Trainers) Australia.
Sarah teaches
owners how to use positive reinforcement methods
to get their pup's to respond to basic commands,
and how to develop a strong bond between dog and
owner. Her classes are small, fun and
informative and are guaranteed to give you a
better understanding on how to communicate with
and understand your canine companion.
The 5 week
puppy preschool course offered at Ballina Vet
Hospital is designed for puppies between the
ages of 8-16 weeks. Owners learn how to teach
their puppies the basic commands (sit,
down/drop, stay, come & attention) as well
as learning about important puppy-related issues
such as puppy biting, toilet training,
socialisation, nutrition, grooming and
environmental enrichment. A maximum of 5 puppies
are taken per class, so bookings are essential.
Please contact Sarah direct on 6681 5336 or 0405
535 336 for more information.
Sarah also
runs adult dog training classes in the Ballina
area and offers in-home training and behavioural
modification for dogs with behavioural
issues.
